My M5s need red dots!
Snowed out today in Illinois. Hopefully, those of us in a similar situation are doing fine out there!
Since this is the situation today, my agenda for the day is:
Work on class plans,
Study German for my Friday class,
Shovel snow,
Develop four rolls of film I still have waiting (2 Gekkos and 2 Ilfords)
Bake a chocolate cake.
My only problem... do I bake the cake AND THEN develop the film, or do I run the film first?
Decisions, decisions...
I hope all of you are doing fine out there! This weather has been just biblical!

I miss snow...
Just don't bake the film and develop the cake...
What's Gekkos?

Gekko is a brand-name applied by Mitsubishi to their repackaged Maco film. It's a nice, slow film, a bit too contrasty for my taste, but since I got it cheap, I use it when I'm bored. I got it on the cheap from Dave McMurphy, a fellow RFF. You can get it on *bay too...

Well-known
The cake can cool out of the oven while the film develops. Just be careful to keep the various ingredients separated.

Well, that cake ought to be just about ready by now...
We're in the midst of a pretty good storm ourselves, with a lot of heavy wet snow all morning and more tonight. A big bunch of snow slid off the roof and tore the internet dish right off the house while I was in the darkroom this morning, but a few new lag bolts and ten minutes of racheting has me up and running again.

Bake is caked... I mean, the cake is baked!
Snow was shoveled too... I'm behind in class plans and German. I'm waiting for later in the evening to soup the film.
There's threats of even more snow in our neck of the woods... Who knows, I may bake another cake!

I would have developed the film first, so it can dry during other activities. OK, the real reason... who wants to smell chocolate baking while developing film, etc.? That would drive me (further) insane!!!
