I came cross with a thread on this camera and the process. Quite interesting. Not this size but a smaller one (16x20) taking pictures on direct positive printing papers available from Harman could be a practical way. Use the conventional Ilford Multigrade developer.🙂

(I think the prints would look great.. I will certainly try it one day as I have a shutterless 360mm reproduction lens to experiment. )

That truck is pretty amazing. Spending $500 to make an image takes some guts.

As for the Ilford direct positive paper, it is being put to some pretty good use by these people:

Saw some interesting stuff there. But that shown by the OP just didn't work well for me. But any artist is free to work however they want, and surely will find someone who likes their work.

But if $500 a print is correct, I wouldn't even try it. I might try paper print negatives some day.
