Thanks howpow ! I have 5000 too, from which I have idea how speed and aperture are "coupled", maybe not best term used by me, though. So I wonder that on 14 controls aren't tied, changing speed don't moves aperture. I mean on my sample.
For "R" as infrared - I had idea, but weren't sure but seems very logical. Did I read manual too easy ? Btw where you got to know about this ?
UPD0: I GOT IT !!! In Lynx 5000 manual chapter "for correct exposure" says "set desired shutter speed" and under that is remark with I think, Yashica guy pic and explicit description that f-stops are coupled to shutter speed ring.
Manual for Lynx 14 I found on kyphoto.com (thank you!) - on page 25 "cont. Depth of Field" is very similar...and different....after basic exposure has been set, DOF can changed by turning speed and f-stop rings TOGETHER. And picture shows finger lying on both rings ! There is no "remark" like in 5000's manual where coupling would be described. Similar layout of manuals let me fool myself.
Btw also Daniel R. Mitchell on his excellent Lynx 5000 page states that models 1000 and 5000 have cross-coupling feature, not mentioning 14.
I knew I'm aging, but Holy Film, why so rapid - I promise to be more careful ! Another myth busted - mine 14 is just fine 🙂
