How bad did you miss the forum?

Here's a stupid question 😕 I checked in at least 5 times while the forum was being updated.
On a count of 1 to 10...one being the most and 10 being the least...how bad did you miss the forum while it was being updated?

I tried APUG, Nelson.foto and PNet. That made me realize how much I appreciate THIS site. Like I said, it may not be perfect, but it's pretty easy to ignore what doesn't interest you or what bothers you. I prefer to see the glass as (more than) 1/2 full!

Was RFF offline? All I noticed was APUG being offline for an hour or so this afternoon. Wasn't aware this place was too.

I'm tempted to say that I didn't miss it at all, but I did look 3 or 4 times to see if it was back online. In the meantime I checked out the other photo forums, worked on my tax returns and played with my new equipment ("must-have" stuff - tripod and ball head - hey, I never agreed to any challenge!). So far, a fairly productive day off from work!

Well, since I've been on nights the past week or so, I slept thru it. 🙂 So, I guess my level of annoyance was zero. 🙂

I do realize that downtime is necessary and that to make breakfast, you must break a few eggs. 🙂 I appreciate the effort toward making this site better and faster. 🙂 If that takes some downtime, I'm more than willing to put up with it. Thanks, Jorge! 🙂

Missed it... about a 6 (heck, I was busy!).

I would have missed it, but I'm going through an interesting period: I just quit my job (today), without a job offer to back it up. The environment was just that toxic -- my mind had been somewhere else, and I have been exercising "Zen".

So...I was busy too.

How bad? Well, my router failed, and my internet was down for a day and a half. I felt . . . . like someone who had been locked in a room without windows, without any lights, without sounds. Of course, this is due in part to the fact that my other internet experiences were also out of order. With all my friends either working full time or married off, I find that probably 90% of my social life is online. Sad? Yes. Yes it is.

Had time for a quick lunch. Site down, surfed Ebay for 15 minutes. Then back to work. By the time I got home, the site was back up. Worked out well, busy afternoon at work.

And with some of the drama, I think we all needed to chill.
