How can i find the year a 11C was made??

I was looking at the serial number list.

Its simple to date most leica bodies but a few,such as the 3C listed as built BETWEEN 1943 &1946

OR the 2C listed as built BETWEEN 1948 & 1951

The majority or listed serial numbers relate to a specific year.

When you have a body on which the number is listed as BETWEEN to years,other than gestimating the actual year it was made,is there a more exact dating list???

The experts will give an exact answer but my non expert one is a qualified "no".

Serial number blocks were allocated but apparently not issued strictly numerically.

Occasionally there are mentions of more detailed record but I have only seen these used for specific orders rather than standard production.

At some times blocks were worked through in little more than weeks, at others over years particularly as variants were rationalized during WW2.

seems the case.
silly but i think id prefer lets say,a 194x body with a lens made made the same year,
OR one made the day war was declared , ended or other event took place ---perhaps---

Guess ill stay with a 1951 one..nothing much happened during 1951 except Leica made a 11C body
