How do I get this off ?

I was given (well, 10 euro or something alike) this camera:

As I understand what I've found with google, it's build in Japan and would also exist under the Chinon-brand, right ?

There are two lenses I got in the deal: a Pentacon 2,8/28 and a Pentacon 2,8/135.
These are screwmount-lenses, and there's an adapter on the camera. I'm not familiar with Pentax mounts, so what is this exactly ? Are there other adapters, e.g. to use Zuiko lenses ?

My main question though is how to get the adapter off ? I can't get it to move. At the left side of the lensmount (viewing from the front) there are two levers: I guess the upper lever is to close the aperture when using auto-aperture lenses (the pentacons can be used in A or M -mode, but as it is now, only M with this adapter), and I suppose the lower one should release a lens fixed without adapter ? But I can't get any movement in the adapter ... Any ideas anyone ?

The camera works very nice; it feels great, works smooth and it even has a metallic shutter with shutterspeeds from 1/2000 to 2 seconds, B, electronic selftimer, ... so I guess it must have been quite a nice camera in it's days .. I'll probably sell it, since I have way too many cameras and I don't think I should buy into another system, but it doesn't look bad at all ...

Screw in a M42 lens, press the unlock lever and try to twist/pull it from the bayonet. If that does not do it, you may have to use a lens spanner wrench with suitable tips on the two notches...
 
Hi

Look up Pentax K-mount. The camera is also called Chinon CE-4. From what I could find it uses the K-mount bayonet. The adpater you have there is very common evidently, as M42 lenses fit very well.

To the lower left of the lens mount. Is that a DoF preview button or a lens mount lock? I would suspect that a lens locking mechanism needing releasing there somewhere.
 
A very basic question first: should I turn left or right to take it off ? My OM's turn left, my Nikons turn right ...

The unlock lever at the bottom left only pulls back in the mount the small protruding pin that can be seen in the picture at the lower left of the mount where the unlock lever is; I suppose that locks a K-mount lens, but it doesn't seem to affect anything in this case.

Apparently, the adapter is locked by indeed a kind of pin in one of the holes, and the ebay-auction sig shows mentions a "mounting key". I'm afraid that's what I'm missing here ... I tried to push the pins, but I'm afraid of ruining something by applying to much force ..

I could of course buy that adapter in the ebay auction, but it costs more then I paid for the camera + lenses :(

The adapter is locked into place by a small spring. You can see it right next to the orange dot on your picture. Push that with your fingernail (toward the center) and turn the adapter counter-clockwise. You shouldn't need any special tool to remove it.

GOT IT ! That indeed did unlock it. I did use a small flat screwdriver to push it in and needed _some_ force to get it moving but it's off without damage.

Now, since I don't have any K-mount lenses, I should put it back on or start looking at eBay :p

Marktplaats has a few K-mount lenses.
Try getting the A type since those allow you to work in the DSlrs from Pentax without much hassle.
