How do I remove the top of a Canonet 28?

I have a Canonet 28 with a dead meter. I want to remove the top plate before I peel away vinyl, remove a front plate and clean contacts. There are three screws, a film advance crank, etc.

Could someone give me simple directions on how to proceed to remove or at least lift the top plate?

By removing the three screws, advance crank, etc. 🙂

No, seriously. It's easy. The advance crank is the trickiest: you have to catch the knob on it somehow, e.g. by a rubber ring pressed strongly against it with something hard and then rotating that CC, based on friction.
