How do I send a DM to a member?

Hello, I'm not too familiar witht this forum functions. Is there a way to send a member a direct message privately? I couldn't find the option. Thank you!

besides your name on the upper right there is a letter symbol. Click on it and choose "send direct message".

Thanks but I don't see a letter symbol? What am I missing?

It's a "letter symbol" as in a little picture of an envelope, just to the right of your name up top.

Just in case you´re a digital native: We used to wrap letters (messages on paper) in envelopes, so only the receiver could read them, after tearing the envelope. And it was possible to write the physical adress of the receiver on the envelope and stick a stamp on it to prove the transmitting was paid.
If you´re no digital native, sorry for the mediocre joke!

HAHA! Thanks for that and I deseved it. I'm old enough to have sent letters with stamps but I was thinking of "letters of the alphabet" rather than the physical thing.
