How does the Nikon F2 photomic meter act when the battery is dying?

Does it show underexposure?

I'm on holidays and the meter showed low exposure and the battery check was showing the dying voltage.

Fortunately I have a Gossen Lunasix with me, but it sure was convenient to be using the on-board meter.

Silver oxides act not that different from mercury cells in their discharge pattern.

On mine, the DP-1 shows underexposure once the voltage check drops below the mark, while the DP-12 suffers erratic blinking of the LEDs. IIRC the DP-11 behaves like the DP-1, but it has been a long time since I last had one.

and if you can't find S-76 where you are, LR44 and SR44 are the same thing; you'll need a pair of them

CR 1/3N, 2L76 or DL 1/3N are also good; you only need a single of these, they're all double-size 3V
