With all the possible options to set up the buttons on the NEX-6, I'm left wondering what choices you made to tweak it to your liking..

I'll kick off with my own settings..

FN button:
csm1: ISO
csm2: White balance
csm3: DRO/HDR
csm4: Picture effect
csm5: Creative style
csm6: Flash mode

AEL button:
AF/MF select

SoftkeyB:
Flash exposure compensation

As you can see, most choices are exposure related...

FN button:
csm1: AF/MF Select
csm2: Autofocus Mode
csm3: Autofocus Area
csm4: White Balance
csm5: Metering mode
csm6: Flash mode

AEL button:
AEL Hold

SoftkeyB:
DRO/Auto HDR

However, as I just posted elsewhere, I set the rear display to 'QuickNavi', which shows all the camera's settings at a glance on a black background - this way not only can you see all your settings between shooting, you can also press FN and have near instant access to almost *any* setting without going into menus! I work like this as my default now :)

I leave the rear screen in this mode, and only use the EVF (except when I'm having to get a low-angle shot or something). Another benefit of this display mode, I'm lead to believe, is that the sensor only gets turned on when you raise your eye to the EVF (apparently all other settings with the rear screen turned on, keep the sensor on.

Thanks for pointing this out, it sounds so very useful and I didn't get this from reading the manual. I'm going to try this out as soon as I can..
