How is 21/4P wide open?

Pretty good, but that's also one of the rare occasions when you have to focus with the RF (at least on shorter distances).
When it comes toquality the 21 gives a nice contrast. I write down the f stops I use and it's hard to see a differnce between f4 and the smaller f's.
Sorry I don't have the picture at hand to prove my point.

Don't have one, but there are a bunch of photos here.

Many of these are probably with the 'pre-P' lens but Tom says the glass is unchanged. Given the lighting, several of the samples must have been shot wide open.

Thanks for the tip, Joe. I always forget to look at Flikr.

Bill - I'll check that out, but to be honest I'm looking at a C-V to be a "trial" lens as I have with my other C-Vs. If I like and use the focal length, I'll probably replace it with something else later.

I like it wide open. It does tend to flare a bit. But that's hardly unexpected given the angle.

I'll look through to see if I have anything shot during the day. 😀

If you want to borrow it for a week to play with, I'm sure we can figure something out. (edit. not the P version, I have the LTM, but I have an M adapter you can use on it)
