How long does it take you to finish a roll?

How long does it take you to finish a 36 exp roll, on average? Or 3 rolls of 120, or maybe 1.5 rolls of 24exp film. I must confess that it took me a month to finish my last roll, and it looks like my current roll will take about the same time to expose. (I am a very slow shooter and can only shoot on weekends.)

5 minutes to 5 months or more. It's bimodal: either I'm shooting intensively (several per hour), or I'm not (film may be forgotten in camera for a long time).

That's me too. Time is my enemy. There just isn't enough of it. I talk a lot more photography than I do any more. I have three guys at work that love photography and we are always talking about going out on a photo walk. Hasn't happened yet. My son-in-law likes photography. We have probably been out two or three times in three years. An RFFer was in the area recently and we couldn't find a time to get together.

In the Washington, DC area, people with time on their hands are blessed or unemployed.

I'd love to be burning ten rolls a day, but I must confess that it's more like three rolls a month. Unless I'm on a trip or a dedicated photo walk, I am sporadic at best.

On a trip, it'll be one or two rolls a day, otherwise, rolls can sit in a camera for weeks. In medium format, it can be 2 or 3 rolls in a couple of hours.

It can be as fast as 30 minutes or one week, depending on how much time I have and what I am photographing. Without any trips, special events or similar opportunities it takes usually one to two rolls over the week (work) and four to five over the weekend (no work) for 135-36. 120 is much slower and in 4x5 it can take up to three month to finish all 6 sheets in my Grafmatic holder.

I voted for a few days. Sometimes it takes a week, yesterday I shot about 22 frames and finished a roll started a week prior. And it was all with a new to me lens(Zeiss ZM 25mm). I find that I often shoot a whole roll with the same lens even if it takes a few shooting sessions. Anyone else shoot like that?

Sometimes 30mins, sometimes a couple of weeks.
It usually has to do with whether I feel like shooting b&w or colour. If I change over mid roll, the camera can get left without use for a while. Currently it's the Contax t3 with colour and the gr1v with b&w.

I have about 8 with film in them. Some I haven't shot for months, I'm a slow shooter, despite trying to carry a camera at all times.

Slow shooter in general, but there are times when that changes. Holidays and birthday celebrations. I'm going to an air show next Sunday. I'll have a dSLR, a film SLR, and a FSU RF. I'll burn up several rolls of film on the static displays.

Sounds silly, but I'm bringing the Zorki 6 to shoot the Mig-17F. Right tool for the job?

I shoot an average of 50-100 rolls per year, so about 1 or 2 a week. However, it's usually pretty variable. January to April is usually a really bad time for me photographically, and I hardly shoot at all. I think I shot 1 roll in those four months this year. Other times of the year like when I go on trips for work, holidays, etc., I can average about 3 rolls/day. And in the rare instances where I'm shooting an event, concert, etc., it can be 2-8 rolls in a couple hours, depending on what the event is.

If I lived somewhere else other than suburbia, maybe I'd shoot more... but probably not.

For me sometimes I take 2-3 weeks, sometimes 15-20 mins, depends on level of inspiration.

Based on my usage over a year as an estimate, I averaged a roll of 35mm film and 120 film a week. I find it hard to have a consistent rate of usage. It all depends on where am I going or whether there any occasions. On an interesting note, I find that I use up a roll of black and white film much faster than a roll of colour film.

Used to burn three a day... Now I'm basically working on the same roll for a few days, week, or sometimes more. It's kind of sad... I guess I'm in a slump.
