How long?

My memory is rubbish I know, because I remember asking before and I can't remember the answer!!

I'm trying to work out how many rolls from a bulk tin sat in front of me (to see if I have enough spare cassettes)



How long is a 36exp rollfilm?
And how long for 24exp?

Hi ManGo, that's how I feel about short rolls, but occasionally there's a shorty at the end from excess from bulk.

I have maybe 7 rolls left, so I thought I should re-roll some film. I'm onto my second (of 6) of that Agfa 160ft stuff.

How's that recovery though? You feeling better?

Oh make sure if you're scanning it you develop with slightly higher concentration, or for a little longer. It nudges the film up a bit and gives a nicer result. Don't push too far or the base is too dense to scan.

I'm finding nice wet prints from 'on the box' timing with Rodinal. Then again, that's the darkroom so it's a little different to my scanning woes 😀

I'm about to start rolling, my little machine has been fondled enough. How film do you leave for the leader? (normal camera & LTM Leica)?

I use the Computrol and roll about 40 exposures on the dial... then when I go to develop I cut off the leader amount. Strangely I still get more than 36 on the roll.

My leaders are the same size regardless of camera (since I still need to pull out a length spool to spool).

Nope! I bought em from another site. Silverprint were out before I got to them
