How many 50mm ltm lenses do you own?

4: screw mount elmar, latest summicron in screw mount (limited production), latest collapsible elmar m mount, and summicron-m. The summicron new version in screw mount looks very neat and works very well on the iiif.

I have owned at one or another, the following 50mm LTM lenses: 50/3,5 elmar, 50/2 summitar, 50/2 summar, 50/2 collapsible summicron, 50/1,5 summarit. But I own 0 LTM lenses now.

For some reason, I can't resist trying them out: they're relatively cheap and they provide a different look from each other and distinctively different from modern lenses.

I currently have the following LTM 50mm lenses:

Elmar f3.5
Summar (hexagonal diaphragm)
Summitar (hexagonal diaphragm)
Summarit
Summicron (poor condition)

I've not experimented at all with Canons, Nikons or Russian lenses yet: plenty of further kit to play with!

LTM?

I think only 5 at the moment. I have cut back quite a bit.

Canon (1.4, 1.5 and 1.8)
Nikkor (2.0)
Jupiter 8

I also have a Rigid Summicron and old Summilux in M mount.

I don't really use the Nikon S2 or Contax I have so we won't count those. (I am a confessed collector so this is OK 😉)

In LTM only:

Canon:
50/1.2 great
50/1.4 great
50/1.8 great

Leica:
Elmar 5cm/3.5 classic and sharp
Elmar 5cm/2.8 sharp
Summar 5cm/2 great lens with flare
Summitar 5cm/2 hardly used by me
Summarit 5cm/1.5 this is a "creative" lens somehow; dreamy images for special occasions
Summicron 50/2 collapsible

Zeiss Jena LTM:
Sonnar 5cm/2.0 both lenses are great for photography [two lenses; one is put together by Brian and one has been modified very early on]
Sonnar 5cm/1.5 uncoated, pre-war, pristine [put together by Brian] Brian has never encountered before such a clean Sonnar ZJ.

FSU:
50/2 [J8]
50/3.5
50/2.8 [Industrar 61L]
53/1.8 [Helios]

Roeschlein-Kreuznach:
50/2 Luxon "created" and adjusted by Brian

I try to use all lenses above as often as possible. I used to have a J-3 or two in LTM, but one was sold and one was modified into Contax mount. Now I have three J-3 in Contax mount [all adjusted by Brian].
