How many Clicks on your digital M-Body ??

I can't seem to find how to set continuous number on my M9. I had it before the latest firmware but now I can't seem to set to find the numbering system for images.
If the option is arranged as on an M8... Look under "Picture Numbering" on the main menu.

There isn't a picture numbering on the M9. I don't get this. Before the firmware update I did a week ago, my number was continuous and I was sure, as with most cameras, I could restart with each card or keep it going. In my work I always want continuous number for references to clients. This is frustrating. I looked in the manual but I can't find anything. I even did a search on the web.

I must be missing something.

Where do you get how many shots have been taken? I can see by continuous numbering but with the latest firmware on the M9 it started all over at 1, which isn't what I wanted.

Find your last photograph in Bridge and in the EXIF data there is a line called 'Image Unique ID'. This represents the total shutter counts for the camera irrespective of the file numbering system. Take the last figures and/or letters (no need for all the zero's) and put this into a hexadecimal to decimal converter like this one

http://www.statman.info/conversions/hexadecimal.html

the resulting figure in decimal is how many shots you have done.

Mine is 17,561 with my M9 in 24 months.

My M9p arrived 15 days ago and I am already at almost 1,000 pics. I'm finding that my love for the rangefinder has grown even more, and I am out taking pictures on a daily basis. My hard drives are not happy, however.
