How many of your friends have an M240? ... and how many of them would you invite to dinner?

... not a wholly serious thread so please don't get too giddy eh?

None. Don't know anyone personally that has a 240. I didn't know anyone other than myself that had an M9 when I had it.

Friends ?....... ;-)

No - the people that tolerate me, hardly know one end of a camera to the other let alone an M240 (one actually thought it was a gun, when I mentioned it's existence once)...on the other hand they do eat like pigs when I invite them to dinner.

I believe there are now 4 Monochrom owners in the group that frequent the San Francisco RFF local meets; zero M.240 owners.
What does that say about the M.240 -

Somewhere between zero and one. I have a friend who has been using the M9 for years and will get one at some point, but he's out traveling somewhere for a few months, which he does often, so I won't know until he "visits" home. Independently wealthy, and travels the world for the sake of it. It's not his camera that I envy. :D

Otherwise I only know a few Leica users, mostly recent M and Bessa film, one who has her grandfather's Leica II or III in storage, and only one M8 in the digital camp.

Cheers,
Rob

Only people I know through this board own the m240 or m9 or....
well I have one friend with an M8 But..... I sold it to him :D

Few of my other friends have more than a passing interest in Photography although, most want me to take photos of them for their own use.
All are invited to dinner !

Other than my comrades on this board, I have one friend who owns a Leica of any kind.

If I had friends rich enough to buy M240s, I'd ask them to lend me a few bob.

My M9 is the only one in our little camera club. Beyond that nobody I know would even know what a Leica is, much less an M- 240.

None of my friends own an M240. I do have a friend with a fantastic corkscrew that doubles as a bottle opener and she also offers fantastic repartee as an added bonus, however, and this is the kind of person I would prioritise when planning invitations to a dinner party.
