How many rolls of film do you take?

Suppose you are going for a vacation to some other country for 10 days. And suppose there is no place to buy film there or it is twice as much as at your place.
How many rolls will you take?
 
When I went to Europe last year I took 20 rolls of 36-exposure Tri-X, thinking that I would shoot an average of 1 roll per day.
I wished I would have taken at least 30 rolls.

That's quite close to my opinion...
A friend of mine says:"Youl'll never have plenty of film..."
 
Minimum of one 36-exposure roll of 35mm film per day.
or
Enough medium format film to shoot at least 24 shots per day.

1 or half a roll a day is what I find I take with me quite often, however I am a poor masters student so I cant burn through film like most people :)
 
I never seem to take enough - it's that I will usually shoot whatever I have. And yes, I have paid twice as much for it when I run out. :(
 
2 rolls per day rounded up to the nearest 10 - is the formula that I use to plan. But I don't why I came up with that formula because I generally end up buying more mid holiday!
 
I guess I don't shoot as much as most people, but I would probably take 10 rolls to be safe and only shoot 5 if I'm lucky.
 
Presuming we're talking about 35mm film here, I would bring 25 - 30 rolls.

Film is fairly small and light weight. I'd much rather carry a few unexposed rolls back than be left with the nagging feeling of missed opportunites because I didn't pack enough.

For 10 days I would take 15 rolls PANF 5 Rolls Delta 100 and 5 rolls Delta 400 for the M6 plus 10 rolls of TriX in 120 for the FUJI.
 
well,depends on the place as well, but for 10 days...probably 15 to 20 rolls if i have all the days for myself.
As said above, better too much than not enough.
 
If there is no opportunity to buy more at all, I'd probably take 20, but if buying more only meant paying too much, I'd probably take 10. Take a digital point and shoot for the pure touristy shots and you'll shoot less film. But, it really depends a lot on the trip, what I plan to do/see, and how conducive the activities are to photography. If it's all about photography, I'd take 30, but my trips never are.
