Today I made a "film shopping" as I had a lot of spare time to go to the special shop with the lowest prices in Moscow (Low prices in Moscow is absurd itself 🙂)
I spent USD 275 for:
20 Acros 120
10 Reala 120
10 New TMax 400 (finally arrived in Moscow!) 135
12 Fomapan 100 135
200 sheets of slivers (120 and 135)
Bottle of Foma fixer to try

I wonder am I maniac or I'm the modest film buyer here? 😀

I buy in 100' rolls when I can. (~18 36exp rolls/100')
From freestyle that works out to USD 170 for 100' each of my favorite films:
Efke KB25, KB50, KB100, and Ilford HP5+

That works out to... about $2.40 per roll. or 40% less than I would be. Leaves me with more money to spend on other things!

Here in Japan I buy mostly bulk rolls of Kodak B&W (Fuji doesn't make them anymore 😡)

100' roll of Tri-X, Plus-X, TMAX 100/400 is about ¥5000, which is round about $50.

I bought a 10 pack of Velvia 100 (35mm) for ¥7500, $75. 35mm Fuji slide film can be rather expensive, but the results are worth it 🙂

I spend about $600 a year on film. Not including development and chemistry.

I usually buy various speeds to keep in stock in my fridge. Mostly colour print film.

I've been meaning to give a shot at buying bulk to roll myself.

I'm looking for bulk rolls as well now.
How many 36-shot-films come out of 100' roll?
We have only Ilford in rolls here.

I also pay about $50 for a 100 foot roll of TriX or HP5. For color, I buy Reala at about $2.50 for a roll of 36.
