It is 2:40am in Indiana, and I just finished developing a couple of rolls of 120 size Tri-X. They were the 481st and 482nd rolls I have shot since I moved back to Indiana at the beginning of 2008! I shoot about 100 rolls a year, a mix of 35mm and 120 film, almost all black and white. How much do you shoot?

Between 120 and 135, I shoot about 50 rolls a year, and I wish I shot a lot more. I shoot sporadically, often leaving a roll in any given camera for weeks. I try to think before I press the shutter button.

All of it is color film, usually Astia 100, Velvia 50 or 100, and Provia 400.

Everything shot on film except casual, email likely stuff which I shoot on my wife's OMD or iPad.

I am now at roll 140 in 35mm and 30 in 120, all B&W, for this year. In the past, I probably shot a bit less, around 100+20 rolls.

Maybe one or two rolls a month. Like I said in another recent thread on this topic, I'd like to shoot more but the developing costs (and the film costs) are insane here.

Texsport, are you finding Astia easily enough? I think it has been discontinued but I can't find a straight answer.

Where are you? Film is still cheap in the USA. I get most of mine from Freestyle now, but I buy some from the local camera store (they've stopped selling most films, but they are not much more expensive than Freestyle for the stuff they still carry). I do my own black and white processing, which is so cheap as to be almost free, less than a dollar a roll for chemicals. E-6 processing is about $10 a roll in the US, and unfortunately I have to send that to Chicago since no one in Indiana does E-6 anymore.

1,2 or 3 rolls a month, depending on how busy I am with other things, although I can easily do 15-20 on a vacation, or maybe a 4 or 5 on a weekend away. Now I'm shooting 120 more, I'm obviously getting through rolls a bit faster.

I appear to be a low volume shooter. I'm currently averaging two rolls a month of 135.

I stocked up on PX125 shortly before it was discontinued. At the time and at the rate I shot then, I was looking at about a three year supply. At my current rate, that'll be stretched out to five years.

No matter, life teaches me that nothing lasts forever.

I average 1-2 rolls per week, the back log is in developing which I sit down and do once a month.
I'd like to shoot more personal stuff but 1-2 rolls especially in winter when it's dark when I go to work and dark again on my return is probably as good as I can hope for...

I shoot an average of something more then 50 rolls a year. 80 % type 135, 15 % type 240 and 5 % type 120 film.
Many of those during holidays (mostly in the summer) and fewer in winter.

Two rolls per week or 100 rolls per year. Mostly B&W at the moment. I guess the number of color rolls will increase and the total number of rolls shot will diminish somewhat.

Digital looks better than ever but it's still too expensive for a switch (a new camera, a couple of good primes, a new computer, a couple of new software etc. ==> 4000-5000€)
