Canon LTM how quick to focus are older canon lenses? (stiffness)

i got a serenar 50/1.8 and i am curious if my focus is stiff. are the older canon lenses slower to focus? i have some zuiko lenses and a minolta rangefinder that are fairly quick. if it is stiff and i have it lubed will it be fairly quick?

this i a beautiful lens but i have been having trouble being able to focus quick with this lens on the street or in candid situations...

My Serenar 50/1.8 is one of the smoothest lenses I've ever used - I think only my Nikkor 50/1.4 AI bests it. I think it's definitely something that can be fixed.

The Canon rangefinder lenses, like their cameras, are among the easiest to dismantle and service. Leica, Nikon and a host of other manufacturers should hang their heads in shame at the unnecessary complication they built into their cameras and lenses in the Fifties, and since then Canon of course has followed suit.
