Learning how to print
Looking through the inheritance of my mother's husband I found a lot of old slides from the 50's to the 60's. As a German marine officer he was sailing Navy ships to Germany, as a former submariner during war that must have been quite a experience, attending seminars at Norfolk and had time for a trip inside th US.
Some of the slides are beyond hope but others are just dirty and I would like to clean them. The glas framed ones are no problem but there are a lot of slides framed with cardboard that are in need of a cleaning. I have never done that before and don't want to mess it up so some hints would be real helpful.
There are also family and wartime pictures starting around 1900, does anyone have experience in scanning such pictures and refreshing them?
If there is a interest I will post some of the pics in my gallery after cleaning, just as a memory of a time long gone.
