How to delete my photos in the Gallery?

Is it possible to delete some of my own photos in the Gallery?
If so, how?
If not, why?

It appears that if you open the Photo Detail Editor when viewing the photo (in My Photos), one of the drop down selections for Photo Status is "Delete Photo".

Open one of your photos.
Next to the detail editor drop down option is a garbage can. Click it!
That will open the delete image promt. You can then confirm and delete your image.
It was not obvious to me right away either.

It stumped me at first too. I stand firmly behind a new years day Champagne hangover as the reason 😛
