One to add for you Francesco and Ben: Early M3's don't have a frame selector lever, after late 1955 they have one.
M6 TTL's have "TTL" engraved on the hot shoe and the viewfinder magnification engraved in the viewfinder window.

Sounds like a plan...but do you speak German? A definitive Leica book has to be in German initially, and then after years of pleading and begging, someone must make a really bad translation 😛

i could do that -- i even live in germany, close to wetzlar & solms (yay), some 35 km away -- you can hardly beat that credibility-wise, haha. 😀
