How to find threads from old links?

We installed redirect code for the original vbulletin threads, this should have redirected threads in that format, but apparently it doesn't always work.

I think we can fix it with another work-around, but in the meantime take the number at the end and use this:

rangefinderforum.com/threads/57160

Let me know if that works!

Much appreciated, thanks. Your fix did work for this old thread:

rangefinderforum.com/threads/57160

...but this one:

rangefinderforum.com/threads/235919

...gave an error:

Oops! We've encountered some problems!
The requested thread could not be found.

This one also didn't work:

rangefinderforum.com/threads/97032

...but instead of an error it redirected to the wrong thread. My old link was discussing modified viewfinder framelines, but the one I was sent to was about PC backups...

There is only so much that can be done to resurrect old vbulletin threads, unfortunately.

Can you give me more examples with the various URL formats?

Are they all of this format? rangefinderforum. com/forums/showthread.php?t=xxxxx ?

I'll do some more digging to see if they can be found. They might still be in an archive that is not visible.

There is also some code that we can install to translate these old URLs, I'll see if @MP Guy can do that.

Some of these old threads have valuable info so it's worth the effort!

Thanks for your continued efforts. Yes, I believe they all take the form:
(http:,https🙂(www.)rangefinderform.com/showthread.php?t=(XXX to XXXXXX)(&other parameters)

Here are a couple of examples that I currently can't seem to find any other way:
https://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30422 (Wittnauer cameras)
https://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=664 (Rollei 35 RF)

Much appreciated. If it would help, here is one I have managed to find by other means:
