OK there are more than a few sources for replacement Leica coverings,
some much better than others,
but still lots of choices.
What are the sources for truly obscure camera leathers that have no commercial offerings?
A now departed repair tech once matched the leather of a very expensive camera PERFECTLY
by going to some sort of wholesale leather place
and finding out the answer to his matching leather quest was pig skin!
Darned if I know enough about wholesale leathers to even guess where to look for that.

Here is a place to get certain kinds of leathers. http://www.veteranco.com/
Tandy Leather has a pretty large selection of all sorts of hides.
It can be found easy just keep looking.
I would call a local upholstery shop or two and ask if there are any wholesale leather suppliers in your area.

A few years ago, i remember the art therapist in the place where i used to work, had some self-adhesive felt materials for her sessions. It was mostly felt and foam but i clearly remember having also some sort of leather (they were making a snake wall mural). Not sure where she got that from - possibly online art & craft catalogues) but maybe try to locate a big educational and art & craft supplier?
