is there a way to have the photo appear full screen (like when I do it from flickr) or is this my only option?....thanks again Richard (Pitxu), I appreciate it.....now if i could just figure out how to use my new scanner and scan a negative without it looking like it has a million dust particles on it, I might be happy....cheers, michael

..and what about the Gallery?
..and what about the Gallery?
I have a persisting problem with posting in the Gallery. I've posted some pictures soon after becoming a member of the RFF. Later, all my atempts at posting in the Gallery were unsucessfull. I get messages stating that the picture exceeds the allowed space - I've tried to upload shrinked photos of 5kb and the message is the same...
Two messages to the webmaster - no reply. Two posts complaining about this - no answers.
I wonder if there is the need of any sort of registration/subscribing to post in the Gallery, or if I should delete my old photos there to upload new ones...
Any tips would be apreciated.
Thanks in advance

michaelbialecki,
You are near,
-once you uploaded your photo as an attachment (you allready done this), click on the "preview post" button. A preview of your to-be-published message will appear (no need to make "test posts").
The thumbnail will appear on the preview of your message.
-right click on the thumbnail and select "copy shortcut" or "copy image location" (if using firefox)
-click on the "insert image " button (it is the only colored button above your reply box
-delete the "http://" text, right click on the text line and select "paste"
the url address of your uploaded photo-attachment will appear on the insert image window.
-click "ok" and you are ready
you can "preview post" again to check if is it ok or you want to make any changes

Joao, there have been big problems with the gallery and they are getting sorted out...slowly.
Write a nice PM to "MP Guy" explaining your problem, I'm sure he can help you.
Thanks, Ill follow your advice

If you upload your photo as an "attachment", you can't get rid of the thumbnail.
Your photo in order to appear in the forum must be uploaded somewhere on the web. If it is uploaded on flick or the rff gallery you follow the "insert image" button way and the photo appears full size. The thumbnail stays to the original place the photo was uploaded.
If you choose the "attachment" way, the photo is uploaded to the forum, that's why it appears in your post as a thumbnail.

Please note there is an instructional thread here:
Rangefinderforum.com > Cameras / Gear / Photography > Rangefinder Forum > Help / Feedback forum > How to post pictures in threads
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117509
11 posts have been moved to that thread... Please post additional comments/questions on this subject there. The thread contains many useful suggestions...
For instructions on posting in the RFF Gallery, there should be sufficient guidance there, just look it over, it's pretty easy. There is no need to use html coding...
