Group, I would be happy for a hint how to read out the shutter actuations of the R-D1 (updated to V2 firmware) I just bought.

If you don't have photomechanic you might try various programs that display EXIF info and see if one shows that field...

However, when I switched sequential numbering back on, still using the new card, both the file number and "frame #" field went back up to where it had previously left off.... although it appears that it did not count the frame that was taken when seq numbering was off.
So I guess that doesn't necessarily tell you anything useful...
