How to remove A11 flash on Olympus XA2

This may sound like a stupid question, but does anyone know how to remove the A11 flash from the Olympus XA2?

It arrived with the flash already attached and I can't see any button to release it, and I don't want to force it.

Surprisingly none of the manuals and information pages I've found explain how to do this.

There should be a black thumbscrew on the side of the flash. Just unscrew that and it should come off. I think it has a slot in it that fits a coin if it's on really tight.

Oh, I see. The screw on mine appears to be broken so I didn't realise it's purpose!
