How to remove waxy thread lock material?

I have a modern Bessa body needing RF adjustment, but the adjustment screw is secured with a yellow, waxy thread lock material. Acetone hasn't done much to soften it for removal. I'm working through the small access hole under the hot shoe.

Any suggestions for removing this stuff? I've searched and come up dry.

Hi,

I apply heat with a small soldering iron (15 - 25 watt) to remove lens screws.
