On a recent trip, I mistakenly shot an a roll of 120 Portra 400VC with -2 EV of exposure compensation.

Is there a way to save this roll?

Do I ask a pro lab to push it two stops? I read though that one can't really push color negs.

Hope some of you folks can help me out. It was a critical roll shot in a place that I may never be able to visit again.

That's very encouraging Rob, thanks for that.

But what do I do, knowing that I underexposed? Do I have a lab process it at box speed or push process?

The sensible thing is to push process. Won't be the same as correctly exposed negatives, but will look a damn sight better than 2 under. Labs charge a little more ('cause they turn a knob and slow down the roller transport & time is money), but it's no biggie for them.

Whatever way you go, please report back. Will help others.

+1 to the suggestion to have it pushed....it's the logical thing to do. They probably won't be perfect, but probably still outta be usable--with B&W negs, I push 3 stops all the time with great results, so 2 with color should still be usable I'd hope/think.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I will most likely try pushing it two stops. It'll be a bit of a challenge finding a color lab that will do that, but hopefully I can find one. Will report back here shortly.
