I think the previous owner of my Bessa R did not thread the strap through the leather pads (next to the lugs) correctly. Can someone send me a picture of how theirs is threaded, or describe it to me?

Thanks in advance,

Warren

hmmm, maybe mine was an aftermarket strap. it came with leather pads that go between the lugs and the rings to prevent scratching.

BTW, I'm very happy with my Bessa R w/35mm f2.5 Color Skopar.

I also tested my Jupiter-8 on the same test roll with very nice results.

Yes, you cleared that up for me. I thought you bought it new and it came with the leather pads, which made me think I got short changed.

What a small camera! Makes my Yashica GSN look ungainly in comparison.

I am definitely digging the compactness of the bessa. And yep, the GSA is a brick next to it. Also, My fed with and Industar 22 is nearly double the weight.

Funny thing is, I was about to create a couple of "body protectors" from Foamies in order to keep down the scratches from any straps. Also a bottom protector of the same material.

Now I have something to use with my nice russian lenses while the FEDs are being tinkered with.

Ted, I still haven't found a good tool to remove that spare FED top.

I just figured out how to link an image.

Here's a picture of my Bessa, in case you were wondering about the leather pads.

I just picked up an inexpensive B&W UV filter on E-Prey, but I shot my first roll with the bare lens.
