hey everyone

i bought a zorki 4 in the summer and i have no idea how to work it, it was only about five pounds so i didnt worry too much :) someone put the film in for me and ive been attempting to take photos with it but id really appreciate some advice and tips

i know nothing about cameras at all so ANYTHING is helpful, like what do adjusting the shutter and aperture do, how to adjust them, how do you know when the film is finished.... stupid questions i know

also the shutter was really hard to wind before but suddenly got easier, is this bad or good?

THANK YOU XX

Don't adjust the shutter speed until AFTER you've cocked the shutter.

When it stops winding, you've reached the end of the film.

you might have snapped the film... not a good thing... Dont worry! The first roll never comes out great! Get more practice, and you'll master it! Practice makes perfect!

for specific info on your zorki 4:

as far as what the aperture / shutter speed settings do and which to adjust and when, you may want to pick up a book on basic photography or google basic photgraphy tutorials. this info will be pretty much the same no matter what camera with manual settings you are using.

hope that helps, have fun and post some pics here when you get them developed.
