How well do you see color?

You have perfect color vision! 0 score!!! Yay!
It's a waste though I tend to see/shoot in black & white mostly.

Who cares if colors match reality? I care if colors match my taste.

If you share your photographs with others, you need to know that they see what you intend. To do that, you need a common reference point. By all means adjust to your tastes, but make sure those things which do not match with reality are by intent, and not default.

Don't be hard on yourselves. The website says 1 in 12 men have some level of colorblindness. Years ago when I worked in a lab that was in a camera store, I read an article from a Society of Photographic Engineers publication. The article said men are more genetically inclined towards color blindness. You can site this when the wife asks you to look at paint chips for remodeling the bathroom.

The Ishihara plates are the ones in the doctor's office with the coloured dots amongst which are some more consistent colours making numbers. These are specifically designed for genetic colour blindness and are less sensitive to other colour deficiencies, say due to optic nerve disease or cerebral abnormalities. For subtle optic nerve disease the Farnsworth Munsell kit with these same colours (like the online link) as moveable paint pots in a lovely, and of course very expensive, wooden box set is the best test.
As someone who worked in colour-matching for 25 years, I used to do the "proper" test (i.e. the coloured tiles) regularly. I usually scored between 4 and 16 and only once got a zero. The Ishihara test is not reliable, a significant proportion of people get false results - negatives and positives. Colour vision depends on a whole heap of factors, even down to mood.

Also, unless my memory is fading, those of you who got odd-number scores are mistaken. The scores always end up a multiple of 2. At least, that's what I recall. Getting two adjacent tiles crossed scores one for each, two tiles apart gets two for each and so on. Since you can't get one tile misplaced and you score for both, the odd numbers aren't possible. Of course, maybe this test is scored differently!

1276.
that is not a typo.
the last two lines ran together more the longer i looked at them.
so, if i'm going to shoot digital, i really need the monochrom ... :)
