Hi Juan, I just have to agree with this, very insightful. This is the reason why film to me is superior to digital and why I choose to shoot film for the photos that I really care about. Good point.

Apart from its well known great tonality, and perhaps unsurpassed sharpness/acutance, I find Rodinal unique for the kind of grain it produces: it's very clean and crisp. I've used lots of developers in the past, and have never seen that beautiful grain except with Rodinal.
