The Sony a290/A390 are as basic as it can get .
I was afraid of trusting them , and my own perception of the colour, acceptable dynamic range and overall 'ambiance '.
I thought that I had to have a better camera in case I found something special to capture.
Well, thanks to the reassurance of so many on RFF , I a content to take out the terrible twins with Minolta 35-70 f4 and Sony 35mm f1.8 .
I like the handling , uncluttered simplicity , balance especially with the chunky 35-70 'beer can' and I like the results .
