How you select your gear between Nikon and Leica?

Fifteen of the Nikon RF's of mine are "vintage". I've read through the M2 and Nikon SP service manual, again- just a lot more adjustments for the Leica M shutter. One of the Nikon S2's (the oldest, 219th Nikon S2) has a sim rangefinder patch , but it is usable. The beamsplitter in the Leica III and Leica IIIf both required replacement.

My vintage Nikon S2 needed a cla because of shutter problem and the rf patch is just fine. My Leica 111c and 111f both needed beamsplitter replacement and had a cla at the same time. Oddly enough my Leica 11f needed neither and works just fine as is. My M4 needed a cla also. All of this is no big deal as we are talking old vintage cameras and anything old sometimes requires a tune up. I find the position shutter releases to be of no big consequence either and generally add a soft release to make them easier to get at on the S2 and LTMs.

Well, today was Leica M3 DS day. Grabbed the camera, loaded with ISO 100 film, and five lenses. Walk in the woods.
