I'm trying to get times to developing hp5+ at e.i.200 on HC-110 dil. H but, or this is an unusual combination or the information is missing. Can someone tel me if it's possible to achieve nice results and with what times for N developing!?

Thanks,
Joao

Thanks Mark. I will start with 8 min. and will post some results as sson as I can to ask your opinion. I usually do 2 inversions each minute, but probably this will make me loose some contrast...

Eight minutes is about right but I definitely overdid the agitation on that roll, the highlights are a bit harsh and the grain is more apparent than I'd expect. I got a couple of rolls which were much better a few days before but have no files to show for it. Your two inversions per minute is probably more like it. Usually the highlights are well controlled due to the slight compensating effect of dilution h.

Mark, I'm very happy with the results. Thanks for your help. Here is a sample:

That looks good, Joao. I should have explained that this works on the 20% per stop rule of thumb for calculating development times. Ilford say you shouldn't shoot HP5 below 250, but what do they know 🙂 .
I've found something from a good roll of 35mm, please excuse the boring picture 😱 .
