HTML code issue

On some threads the 'HTML code is on' which means that when I post a picture on that thread a long string of code appears underneath it. How do I turn the HTML code off?

The HTML indication -'on' or 'off' is at the bottom of the page. Anyone has an idea how to turn it off?

Could you give an example of a thread where HTML is switched on and also of what you insert to post a picture?

When I insert a pic from Flickr into this thread...I get a long string of code and in 'edit' on RFF I can't get rid of it.

I just tried the same and - at least on preview - it worked fine. I used the 'BBCode' Option in the flickr share menue. Just checked: 'Embed' works as well...
