There is a black Bessa R with a 35 Color Skopar up for grabs on the Leica forum over at photo.net - At $250 for the pair, it should sell quick.
I have no relation to the seller.

I picked this up. Seller was a nice gentleman from CT. Regrettably, I am sending it back as the framelines are misaligned. Just thought anyone who was considering buying this on PN would like to know.

1. Solinar, thanks for the heads up on this item. Seems like a great deal.
2. ray_g, thanks for the heads up on the misalignment issue. How bad does it seem? Since you are returing it, I'm thinking of contacting the seller to see if he plans on selling it again.

Very minor, James. Probably 2 degrees off. I would have kept it if I really, really wanted one. The kit is basically unused, in original wrapping, boxes, and papers. The seller is also a very nice guy. The package will be arriving there later today, and I suspect he will be relisting thereafter.

I've been living on the Cameraquest web site for quite some time researching this and now here. It was really this thread that finally pushed me to register. I have an old rangefinder I love except for the pain it is to load film and it not having a built in meter. I decided awhile back that a Bessa R and the 35 2.5C would be perfect for me but did want a black one. As I've been finishing building my wedding kit recently it wasn't a priority but this deal seemed to good to pass up. I've contacted the seller and will be buying this kit at the end of the week. 2 degrees off is actually an improvement over my current RF kit. Thanks alot for the heads up on this everyone.ray_g said:Very minor, James. Probably 2 degrees off. I would have kept it if I really, really wanted one. Congratulations, James. That was really the only thing I could comment on. The kit's otherwise great. I am sure you will like it.
