Mike Johnston from The Online Photographer is reporting some good deals on the A7/7r, lenses and flash until the end of March:
"So anyway, Focus is currently having a spectacular sale on the Sony A7r and A7. Just in case that happens to be your (Camera of Lust). If you trade in any camera, of any type, in any condition, you get a nice fat rebate. They're not allowed to tell you what it is, but I happen to know it's $300. Then, if you also buy a lens and a flash, you can "stack" the rebates for as much as $650 more in savings. And, they'll throw in a free copy of Lightroom 5 on top of that."
Follow the link for details. If I was after one of these desirable cameras I'd head straight to a local charity store and buy a couple of $5 p&s's to trade in.

And I'll counter your Sony with the Sigma deals available ... any of the DPMs here in Oz for $550.00.

And typical for US... No rebates or any big sales yet. Last I look at beginning of week still around 800 at any of the big US websites for the DP sigmas...

I almost had buyer's remorse until I realized Focus only sells A7 bundles starting just under $1700 (incl. discount). I paid $1530 for the A7 body (sony store corporate/student discount). So I guess I lost out on a kit lens for about $160.
I best get used to it. Prices will only fall from here...

Ordered it yesterday, and just received the UPS delivery notification (will receive on Tuesday). I opted for the A7R, Zeiss 55/1/8 Sonnar and HVLF60M flash to get a $650 rebate, plus a $300 credit for trading a non-functional digi P&S.
