HU: Black paint M3

Since they said they're Leica dealers I sent them a message saying that I might be interested in doing business with them sometime down the road...but yeah, I probably wouldn't get to see this camera.

In that condition I don't think it's terribly overpriced.
Black, original M3's have indeed come down a bit in price.
The same camera could have sold at 14-15,000 for just 3-4 years ago.
Today, a black M3 in this condition can probably be expected to fetch in the area of 5-7,000 dollars.

So expensive but not completely unrealistic and I got to be honest - if a camera like this was selling for about 3,000 I might actually buy one myself.

It would take me about two hours to get there and I could see the thing in person. Might be an interesting trip to check out the rest of his inventory.

I don't see this as a completely outrageous price, either. The problem is that it isn't one that I can afford. 🙂

Bring a cup of coffee..put it next to the black M3 and post the photo here 😀

As a collector camera, it is not outrageous. As a user camera it is ridiculous. That being said, it's a beauty.

I really want a black paint M. I may one day send my M2 off to Luton or Shintaro for the equivalent of a Hollywood boob job. Otherwise, a black paint MP or M8 may be in my future. A little stealth never hurts.
