In case anyone is looking for one... I'd bite, but my chrome one works just fine... Might be good to just have it spruced up & put it back on ebay with some real good sales pitch... You know, it is RARE!!!

Whoa... I'm sure it wasn't the GSN that bumped the price up over $177 ! ! !

but I think GSN's are undervalued at their $20 or $30 prices if they work well. For a long time XAs were in this range, and then folks re-discovered them or something, they're now twice as much.

I have all 3 versions of the QL17 and while they are all very capable performers I find the first version is built far better than the last 2. It's also easier to repair if the shutter gets sluggish.

The first version is the full size QL17 simular in size to the Hi-Matic 7s and Yashica Electro G, GSN cameras. The second version is the compact version simply badged QL17 and the last is the GIII QL17. The last 2 are the same size.
I know the first and last versions came in chrome or black but I've only seen the second in chrome.

I saw this eariler and was thinking of putting a 60 dollar bid down but thats all I woudl pay for those two camera, plus something about that auction rubbed me the wrong way...

have a look at my flickr I have 2 QL17's the QL17-L and the GIII (the L looks like the GIII with some minor differances) I was looking a QL-17-L in black today ( but I couldn't get the owner to part with it).

OK, got it, mine's a GIIIQL, but says QL17 on the top deck.
