HU: CZ Biogon WARNING

I purchased this lens and sent it back. The focus is NOT smooth at all on my Contax IIa, which was recently overhauled. My Opton Sonnar focuses smoothly with the focus wheel, but this Biogon was almost unmovable.

There is a dent in the aperture ring, which still moves smoothly enough, but the surrounding black knurled section is uneven when viewed from the side.

The lens has obviously been dropped.

Buyer beware.

Oh, I thought you meant a general problem with new Biogon lenses, like the 35 Biogon so many like. Perhaps a more specific subject line would have been better like "HU: eBay auction with a poor CZ Biogon lens!" or something like that. Just a suggestion. This one will cause some confusion in the search database.....

The Original ad claimed to have the cla done. But if it had been then they dropped it after the cla. No one who would have done a cla would have passed a misaligned aperture ring like that, nor allow a focus problem like it had.
