HU Kobalux M 28/3.5

>>- wouldn't it be a riot if this turned out to be a cheap FSU immitation? <<

If so, it's the only known 28/3.5 made by the FSU (which was not known for making M-mount lenses) and so is probably worth the money.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!! :bang: :bang:

I mean, you lucky dog, enjoy the lens.

That was a super incredible deal. I've seen those lenses go for around $1000, sometimes more.

You mean when I sell this lens it could be a big step to my M 6? As I don't use the lens so much I would gladly sell it for that price

Congratalations! As the one that might have pushed you over the edge, I'm glad it went to an RFF member. I was about to go for it, at my own urging, but you got there first.

LuckyYou!!

Thanks Everyone! I must say, I haven't felt this good about buying a lens since I found a 77mm Pentax LTD for < 50% the going price. My wife IS right - I have more luck than brains! 😀 😀

Heh. 😛

The prices are often driven by bid wars, not because the seller set that price.

I wouldn't pay anywhere near $1000 for it (which is why I don't have one), but if the price is right (like above) ::wink wink:: I'd snatch it up too.

Regardless, give me a ring some time if you'll be selling. In a few months, though. I'm dry.

Anybody wanna buy signed prints? 😀 Or trade prints for gear?

Sigh.... why can't dreams get reality 😀

Because of this threat I decided to take the lens with me to spain, maybe a little shootout with the CV 25 mm.......
Not intentions to sell at the moment but in some month's maybe the lens will go into funding a M 6.

BTW, you got nice pics on your homepage 😎

I like this lens. It's realy thin and makes an easy-to-cary outfit with the RD1. Below are a few test shots I took with it. Unfortunately, I can't post any people shots yet as I have no idea if they would object (company retreat pictures) but I could not tell the difference between the shots taken with the Kobalux and the 28/2.8 Elmarit. I think the Kobalux is a keeper.

I'm glad that lens is so good.
I got a bale of good karma by doing a HU instead of buying it-
Right after Andy bought the lens, I got an email from the german shop I was trying
to contact and I have not one but two new Hexanon-m 50/2 on the way (two because i had to pay by bank wire, so I figured i'd ease the pain of the wire fee by getting two)!
I had been looking for a hexanon 50/2 for a while now. They used to be common then suddenly the only ones to be found on ebay were from a british shop wanting some huge amount like 500 pounds for the things.

My name's not Earl though, but my hair looks like his.

I like my Hexanon 50/2 a lot. Bought it from Bergen County Camera for less than the one on ebay now, in like-new condition (talk about luck). I only wish someone would offer the other M-Hexanon lenses for sale at reasonable prices...
