HU : Large estate sale of Rokkor glass and Minolta bodies

Just saw this on *Bay, I know that some people here might be interested in this.

A large estate sale with some of the rarer bodies (XK and XM) and the most prized lenses (58mm 1.2, 50mm 1.2 and 1.4, 250mm 5.6, 85mm 1.7, 28mm 2, etc.), all going for auction style.

Not related to the seller in any way.

Yup, Whoever wins it will definitely need to send it off to Karl Bryan. If money wasn't tight for me, I wouldn't hesitate to grab the black SR-T 101.

I've not used the F2, but I have the F2.5 in MC, and the F2.8 in MD. Both are excellent, I particularly like the F2.5. It has rare earth glass elements and is particularly good. I just got one and paid about $60 for it.

The F2 is more like a $200-$300 lens, I guess because it's so speedy.

The 24/2.8 is an excellent lens. Paired with the 35/1.8 whichever 50 you like and a Tele makes a great lens kit.

ralph, you'd be surprised at my current collection of rokkor glass…nothing fancy but growing.

Affordable and very good. I have paired down to the really nice lenses I like best. If you get a chance, the MC 58/1.2 is a very good lens. Full of character and built as solid as they come.

I once converted a 58/1.2 to Nikon F mount. Usable up to 20'. Might be tempted to try another.

i got the 58/1.4…better price, the 1.2 is still a bit high for my 'budget' collection.

One lens for sale I didn't know anything about is the 16mm fisheye. It seems to have selectable filters (skylight, yellow, orange and 80B) via a filter ring. First time I hear about such a design...are there other lenses made this way?
