$450 for a modern summicron looks pretty good. I'm broke though.

I doubt it's stolen. Thieves rarely have the opportunity or the thought to steal the charger too. Not to mention box and papers? Who keeps that junk?
It is sad to see an M8 for that price though. Makes me wonder whether it'll be the norm soon. I remember all the heads up and long threads when they were 2500.

I've heard that dealers are offering $1000 for M8's, and someone posting locally on Craigslist might be pricing based on that. He might not have an ebay account, or his feedback isn't enough positives.

$1000 for an M8?
Where? I'd like one
Seriously, who is offering an M8 for $1000?

"possibly" != "probably"
If I sell you a camera, in all probability it won't have box or papers, but quite definitely it won't be stolen.

What I meant was, dealers are offering to give people $1000 for their M8's, either in cash or trade-in value. The dealers would then be marking those M8's up over $2000 for resale.

There was one that sold for $1995 on PNet. I think a lucky person may find one for less han $2000, but most are selling for over $2400 at auction in recent weeks, with the lowest $2100.
It actually looks like prices are fairly stable, with the usual outliers. But it doesn't surprise me given the high price of the M9.
Now where is that $900 R-D1?
