There is a Nikon S2 at auction with some interesting accessories. In particular, it looks to me like the camera comes with a Nikon black variframe VF along with what appears to me to be a black 2.8 cm attachment for the VF. I have never seen these in person so I cannot be sure. In any event, the auction number is 290160497040.

I am not the seller and do not know the seller.

Do not take it personally, but I think that we had all +/- decided to get rid of these HU posts for good. Not long ago HU posts had come to a level of about 40% of the posts at RFF and it had become quite boring actually.

I'm not sure where you got that impression, but I disagree. Many RFF members have benefitted from this kind of post. There was even discusion yesterday about creating a sticky thread for these, but that didn't go through. My opinion is that these are valuable posts. If anyone finds them boring, they don't have to be read. They disappear fairly quickly from the active posts page because there is little need for protracted discussion in them.

Sorry, I did not mean to step into a debate about whether one should post notice of interesting items that may be available. But now that I have, it seems to me that there would be value to having a place on this forum at which one could readily access such notices.

In addition, I was hoping that my initial notice would generate some discussion of the variframe VF as well as the 28mm attachment. I have not seen these before at auction (or in person), and was hoping that some would comment on the utility (or rarity) of these items.

Those are interesting pieces of gear. Posting HU notices helps improve awareness of hard-to-find or unusual items, or common items in better-than-average condition. I'm in favor of the free market, and HU notices help keep the community of interested buyers aware of what's available.

The HU's should also be in the forum for the type of gear in question. I usually just check the Nikon RF forum.

Yes some very interesting pieces in this auction. I enjoy checking out these HU posts, even though I've never purchased from ebay. Thanks for posting.
