Some people don't like "HU" posts, but I'm posting one anyway ;)

Auction 7616101030 on that evil place. This one may go for a fairly low price because of the aftermarket film reminder glued on the back. Ya know these look great with a dark green leather anyway!

Otherwise it looks in good condition and buyer seems fairly reliable. No connection, etc., etc., just a very satisfied 35SP user. I'd buy it except for bank account and marital status.

LC better than SP

LC better than SP

Even better than the 35 SP, there is the little known 35 LC. Same lens, but even better camera IMHO:

- the CdS sensor is located inside the filter ring of the lens, instead of next to the viewfinder (a much better location, as there is no need to adjust the ISO dial when using filters, and you won't get those fingers covering the sensor window when metering);
- there is a real semi-auto exposure meter, which means that you can adjust freely the speed and aperture to place a moving needle between two marks visible in the viewfinder as well as on the top cover (much more flexible than the auto/EV based meter of the SP);
- the shutter is less noisy.

OK, there is no "spot" metering option. Anyhow, if you need precise spot metering, you'd better buy a good modern silicon spotmeter than to rely on a 40 years old CdS sensor.

There is a 35 LC on eBay, clean looking, no bids: *** Here ***

I'm tracking a couple of LCs (including that one) and an LE on ePay. I sorta disagree about the spot meter on the SP. First, sensitivity aside, it's proven very accurate and reliable. Second, when using a spot meter, having it built into the camera has advantages. I agree that a handheld spotmeter has distinct advantages, but carrying a spot meter frequently defeats the purpose of rangefinder photography, IMO.

I like the 35 SP too, but it's true it's a loud camera. Louder than my Bessa R and thats saying something.
