Cheapness is all relative. I just sold a Leica 50mm Summilux ASPH for like 9x what I paid for a 50mm f/1.2 Zuiko.
The Zuiko is smaller, focuses closer, and is a half-stop faster. The Summilux ASPH is no doubt a better lens, but under real-world, low-light, hand-held conditions, I doubt there will be a huge difference in image quality on film.
