HU...RF645 100mm...$1365...

Interesting. Bad news for me, as my interest in this camera seems to coincide with lots of people figuring out how nice it is. I held one at B&H Photo recently and it was sweet, I much preferred its size and feel to the Mamiya 7 which seemed really huge (yes, I know they shoot different sizes).

I know you _really_ like that camera, but that bit just convinces me that if I ever spend the money for one of the cameras in this class it will be on a Mamiya 6 instead...

Yikes, indeed...

I do often consider moving to a larger format. I look at the Mamiya 7II and think that might be nice to have, maybe sell the Bronica in favor of much larger real estate, but I could never bring myself to do that. No matter how logical it might be for my purposes.

Nothing wrong with the Mamiya 6. Good camera. Square format is really ideal for street photography if you know how to use it best. The RF645 has just become a close friend, and I will never let it go!

Wow. That comment about how "the clickstops are firm and positive" is funny, though, since there is no connection between the aperture control ring and the aperture. More important would be knowing that the electronically controlled shutter and aperture work properly.

If 100mm lenses are really fetching over $1000, I don't know whether I should (a) sell mine, because that's a lot of money for a lens I rarely use, or (b) keep mine, since I can't afford to replace it.

Guess I'll hold it a little longer, since it's such a nice lens....

Prices for RF645 cameras and lenses seem to be dropping at the moment. Ffordes.com had a 45mm lens on their site at £350 a few weeks back, it has sold, but when I enquired about how much I may get for mine (as was thinking of selling it) they quoted a commission sale value of £230 which would put the sale price at about £300:confused: . As I paid £300 for it anyway, its a fair drop in value in 11 months so have decided anyway to hold on to it and sell my Bessa R and some other Bronica SLR equipment to recoup some of the serious overspend this year! The prices on ebay are even lower so there was no way it was going anyway near there. Tried it out again this morning, decided to keep it, its much lighter than my SQA so is likely to get used a lot more and I do like the 45mm lens:) . No chance of ever getting a 100mm, couldn't afford one!:bang:
